Ranthambhore is famous for its tigers. The majestic predators roam here freely and can be seen at close quarters, hunting and taking care of their young. It covers an area of 392 sq km and is set between the Aravalli and Vindhya ranges, comprising of dry deciduous forest. The terrain is rugged and there are rocky ridges, hills and open valleys with lakes and pools.
